Every now and then I come across a bottle of wine that is absolutely epic. Thanks to the crew at SommSelect this is one of those times. Only 50 cases exported to the US and super hard to find. From the Weinviertel DAC in Austria (which btw has been making wine for 7,000 years!). A blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, and Traminer. Think honeysuckle, acacia, jasmine, chamomile, bergamot oil, grapefruit, citrus blossom, and ripe yellow apple with face slapping acidity.
The coolest feature? They actually use the famous Loess soil as the label. Super delicious, genius marketing, drink it with a trout schnitzel.
